Review: IT Cosmetics CC+ Cream Full-Coverage Foundation with SPF 50+

I've always wanted to try this product. It's the IT Cosmetics CC+ Cream Full-Coverage Foundation with SPF 50+. It contains hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, and vitamin E.

I've been using this product since last year. It's been my main face makeup product. It has a sweet citrus smell to it. It doesn't bother me much. The texture of the product is soft, but it is difficult to spread across the face. It doesn't blend in well. I need to blend it with another foundation for a smoother application. I wasn't impressed with the texture and consistency of the product. I just wish it went on my skin smoother, easier, that's all.

The cc cream is pigmented, but it didn't last on my skin. It provided full coverage at first, but it vanished by the end of the day. If you have dry skin, make sure to use a good moisturizer underneath. This cc cream can make the skin appear drier and settle into fine lines and wrinkles. My skin isn't naturally dry, but the cc cream dried it out and made it look worse. Using it with a good moisturizer is essential.

The product contains 9% titanium dioxide and 6.3% zinc oxide. It has an SPF of 50+, but that doesn't matter, since I'm only using a small drop of the product for my face and neck. I'm not using enough product for the labelled SPF on the tube anyway.

Overall, I wasn't in love with this cc cream. I won't repurchase.

Review: Think Kids Mineral Sunscreen SPF 50

I've been searching for a sunscreen that suits my skin. I do prefer mineral sunscreens over chemical/hybrid sunscreens. I remembered that I still had Think Kids Mineral Sunscreen SPF 50. It hasn't expired yet. I decided to give it a try on my face (again). The last time I used it, it felt sticky on my face, so I used it mainly on my body.

Here are my results this time...

I love that this sunscreen contains 23.4% zinc oxide. It's a true mineral sunscreen. It feels a bit heavy but not too heavy compared to some mineral sunscreens I've used. It's definitely not a lightweight sunscreen. It does leave the skin feeling sticky and shiny after application. And it leaves an extremely white cast on the skin. It takes more effort to apply this sunscreen. If you have a tanned complexion, this sunscreen isn't going to work. You can try it, but the white cast is very strong. I had to use a tinted mineral sunscreen on top to remove the white cast. I was pretty much turned off by the white cast. I was also turned off by the stickiness and shine. I had to use powder to remove the shine.

I have a big bottle of this sunscreen, so I'm going to use it whenever I can. I can't use it outdoors when I have to see people. I can see the sunscreen slipping from my face. Having oily skin doesn't help with that either. The sunscreen just doesn't make my skin look pretty. It makes my skin appear messy. My hair sticks to my face. But I can get away with using it indoors.

As for breakouts, it didn't clog my pores. My skin has improved when using it. It's really gentle and calms my acne (when there's acne). It dries out my pimples while keeping them moisturized. This could be a good sunscreen only if it were less oily, less shiny, and less thick. I don't have hope of finding a pure 100% mineral sunscreen that has all of those qualities. I've used plenty of mineral sunscreens.

Overall, I think Think Kids Mineral Sunscreen SPF 50 is okay. Maybe I just like how it helps with my acne and softens my skin. :)

Will I repurchase? No. I need a sunscreen that I can use every day, wherever I am.

Review: d'Alba White Truffle Waterfull Essence Sunscreen SPF 50+ PLUS Skin Care Products I Finished

I tried to venture out and find a sunscreen that I could possibly switch over to. The one I'm using makes my skin appear dull, slightly dry, uncomfortable, and with an orange tone. I found d'Alba White Truffle Waterfull Essence Sunscreen SPF 50+. I thought I would give it a try.

This sunscreen contains many beneficial ingredients for the skin, including white truffles, ceramide np, panthenol, centella, and tea tree.

It's not a full mineral sunscreen but a hybrid sunscreen. It contains 19% zinc oxide as the mineral filter. It also contains Butyloctyl Salicylate, which is a UV booster.

I loved the texture of this sunscreen. It felt extremely lightweight on the skin compared to the sunscreens I've been using. It's non-sticky. It does have a white cast, but it didn't bother me much. I was able to apply some some tinted foundation on top to minimize the white cast. What prevented me from continuing my use of this sunscreen is that it clogged my skin. I think it's the silicones in this product. It provides a smooth, soft finish, but my skin dislikes too much silicones. I stopped using it after I noticed breakouts. This was after trying it twice. But I tried out the sunscreen again after a week. I had the same results --- breakouts.

This isn't a moisturizing sunscreen. My skin appeared rather dry, so I tried using a heavier moisturizer underneath. It worked at first, but it seemed to dry out the moisturizer too. I really wish this sunscreen worked. Too bad it didn't.

***

I have some products that I finished. Here are my reviews of them!

Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream Fragrance-Free:

I purchased the Olay Regeneraist Micro-Sculpting Cream thinking that it could replace my current face moisturizer. I wanted a moisturizer that was better for aging skin.

This moisturizer was supposed to:

- Hydrate

- Tighten and lift the skin

- Restore and improve elasticity

- Improve texture and sagging

- Diminish fine lines and wrinkles

I used it for a week on my face and realized that it dried out my skin and clogged my pores. I ended up with breakouts all over my face. I didn't think it was that moisturizing either. The only thing I noticed about this moisturizer is that it brightened my skin. It contains niacinamide. I wasn't impressed. I used the rest of the cream on my body. I won't purchase again. It didn't work for me.

Blue Lizard Mineral SPF 15 Lip Balm:

This lip balm is a mineral SPF lip balm. It contains 10% zinc oxide. I thought the balm was difficult to apply to the lips. It wasn't moisturizing. I haven't found a mineral SPF lip balm that feels comfortable on my lips. It also left a white cast. I never looked forward to using this product. I'm glad I'm done with it. It wasn't that great. Another product that I would never purchase again.

Now on to the next lip product...

e.l.f Sun Boss Gloss SPF 25:

e.l.f Sun Boss Gloss SPF 25, on the other hand, was a lip product that I liked. I'm not going to focus on the shades. I picked this product primarily for its SPF. This lip gloss contains 10% zinc oxide. It's not super moisturizing, but it's not that drying on my lips. It worked for me. I'm on my second lip gloss of this product.

Review: Cosrx Advanced Snail 92 All in One Cream

I have used Cosrx Advanced Snail 92 All in One Cream before. I thought I would try it again. Here are my thoughts on this product this time....
