Artistry Essentials Skin Care Balancing System

I stumbled upon Artistry Essentials Skin Care Balancing System when I was searching for a cleanser, toner, and lotion that would balance oil on my skin and hydrate it at the same time. The Artistry Essentials Skin Care Balancing System seemed to be a perfect match because it claimed to control oil and keep the skin balanced throughout the day. It contains natural ingredients such as Indian Fig and Acerola Cherry to control oil and hydrate the skin. Also, it claims that each step of the system boosts the performance of the next. This skin care system was what I was looking for, so I gave it a try.

Purpose:
  • Reveals fresher skin.
  • Clears, clarifies, and exfoliates to a balanced finish.
  • Has built-in patented exfoliation technology to reveal smoother skin every time the cleanser is used.
  • Has natural oil-controlling ingredients for a fresh, shine-free face every day.
  • Adjusts for continuous oil-control.
  • For combination to oily skin.
  • Safe for sensitive skin.
  • Oil-free.
Review:

Artistry Essentials Balancing Cleanser was a lightweight gel. It had a floral fragrance. It was silky, soft to touch, and appeared elegant. It slightly foamed up when I mixed it with water. It was gentle on my skin and left it clean, fresh after each wash. My skin felt balanced without feeling taut or dry. This seemed like the perfect cleanser for my skin, but there were a few exaggerated claims made about the cleanser.
The cleanser stated that it had built-in patented exfoliation technology to reveal smoother skin after each use. My skin never felt or looked exfoliated after each use. The cleanser also stated that it adjusts for continuous oil control. I didn't experience that either. Still, I liked this cleanser. It left my skin fresh and clean, and it was very gentle. I would recommend this cleanser to sensitive, combination, oily, and acne-prone skin types.

Purpose:
  • Leaves a fresh, matte finish.
  • Prepares the skin to stay oil-free and balanced throughout the day.
  • For combination to oily skin.
  • Safe for sensitive skin.
  • Oil-free.
Review:

I had to shake the Artistry Essentials Balancing Toner bottle before using because it had two separate liquids. I dispensed the toner onto a cotton ball, and it was a pale green color with a floral fragrance. When I swiped it over my face, it removed excess oil and debris from my skin. It also left my skin feeling refreshed, matte and seemed to reduce redness. I liked this toner. It controlled oil throughout the day and left my skin balanced, but I had to stop using it.
It eventually absorbed all of the oil on my skin and made my skin very, very dry. My skin didn't appear youthful anymore. I checked the ingredients of the toner and noticed that alcohol denatured was listed at the beginning of the list. If I had to recommend this toner to anyone interested, it would be for combination, oily, very oily, and acne prone skin types. In addition, I wouldn't recommend using it daily due to the alcohol content.

Purpose:

  • Keeps the skin balanced throughout the day with natural oil-controlling ingredients.
  • Provides UVA/UVB and patent-pending free radical protection to prevent premature aging when used every day.
  • For combination to oily skin.
  • Safe for sensitive skin.
  • Oil-free.
Review:
Artistry Essentials Balancing Lotion SPF 15 was very lightweight and fluffy, and it had a subtle floral fragrance. The lotion was elegant and disappeared into my skin immediately. The silky smooth lotion left my skin matte right away. It absorbed oil on my skin without going through drastic measures. My skin never felt taut or dry. It left my skin balanced throughout the day from morning until nighttime. The lotion seemed too good to be true, and it was.
The lotion left residue behind, and I had to re-apply each and every time. I ended up wasting so much product when this happened. The lotion somehow managed to get into my eyes and burn. The lotion wasn’t moisturizing enough. It claimed to do all three: Hydrate, balance, and protect. It only balanced my skin and protected it. No hydration whatsoever. Lastly, the SPF could have been at least a 30. I would recommend this lotion to oily, very oily skin types only. But, it's not that great.

Final Thoughts:

As you can see, Artistry Essentials Skin Care Balancing System didn't satisfy all of my skin needs. The toner and lotion controlled oil and balanced my skin throughout the day, but they were either too drying or not moisturizing enough. The cleanser was gentle and removed excess oil from my skin without leaving it feeling dry, but it did not control oil on my skin.

  1. You could have combined the hydrating essential series as your skin type is not the very oily type. What i use was balancing cleanser, hydrating toner and balancing lotion. I'm satisfied with the product. btw, great blog you have here! =)

  2. I've tried the Artistry Essentials Hydrating System before. It made my skin very oily and clogged my pores. :( It's great to hear that someone is having great success! :) Thanks for the recommendation!
