I've gone through several jars of the CeraVe Skin Renewing Night Cream, and I've lost count. Here are my thoughts on this cream!
The CeraVe Skin Renewing Night Cream contains hyaluronic acid, ceramides, niacinamide, and peptides. The two peptides in this cream are...
Tripeptide-1: Boosts collagen production (elasticity, firming the skin, and reduces wrinkles)
Caprooyl Tetrapeptide-3: Repairs and strengthens the skin barrier
It also contains Myristic Acid, which I know I can't use on my facial skin. I used the cream on my neck and chest to fight against dry skin and wrinkles.
The cream is thick. I used it on my neck and chest. It leaves a weird residue on the skin after application. I never liked that tacky feeling it leaves behind, but I continued to use it anyway. I was hoping that it would eliminate dry skin and get rid of some fine lines and wrinkles. I've been using this product for over a year. I just kept using it just because. I used it in the morning and at night. I was pretty consistent with product application.
After all of that, all it did was moisturize. It didn't help with fine lines or wrinkles. This product didn't live up to its claims. I had some fine lines and some wrinkles that I wanted to diminish, but it didn't work. I'm going to finish up what I have left and move on to something else. It's been over a year of using this product already. I'm moving on. It's not effective.
